Job Description
Engineering support on hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and repairs for GM Stamping Plants
Support emergency breakdowns accessible 24/7 to assist and work with engineers and maintenance personnel at the plant level to decide on repairs or parts required.
When broken parts when returned to Ideal this person works to get the diagnosis and determine if the part is repairable or new purchase is indicated.
Work with closing plants to move spare parts and presses to Ideal or other GM plants.
Works with plants and HQ’s engineers to get press lines ready for start up and debug
Supports all of the above items with electrical parts
Experience in warranty and repair or experience with CNC equipment and/or Powertrain related experience
Location will be in Southeastern Michigan and if there is travel it will be reimbursed.
5 years plus experience
College is preferred
