Need PPap experience
Evaluates materials for use in products that meet customer design and performance specifications. Considers alternative uses for known materials.
Analyzes and evaluates new material selections for acoustical value
Consults with members of management and provides recommendation on suppliers and new materials based on overall value and quality
Reviews new product plans and makes recommendations for material selection based on design objectives and cost
Evaluates technical and economic factors relating to product specifications
Consults with suppliers in evaluation of material use
Assesses failure and interprets test data
Seeks new suppliers for alternative materials that meet and exceed performance and cost goals
Keeps up-to-date on current trends in materials engineering through continuous education
Must have practical knowledge in application engineering and principles of engineering
Knowledge of design techniques including CAD and other computer aided design tools
Mathematical applications knowledge, including calculus and statistics
Knowledge of production operations, including processing of raw materials and QS standards
Knowledge of computers, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
BS in Mechanical Engineering or other related field
5-10 years experience
