Job Description
To assist the organization in meeting customer requirements by manufacturing quality parts utilizing a progressive die/automatic press, and to perform the assigned tasks in a safe manner.
Insure that all safety and quality start up procedures are followed.
Change dies as directed by following the companies die setting procedure.
Insure that the operators instruction and set- up sheets for each job are reviewed for changes and or read in entirety prior to running production.
Follow the procedure and method for processing parts as instructed.
Insure that all quality procedures are followed thorughout the production run including in- process monitoring of the parts being produced.
Identify safety, quality or production problems to the group leader or supervisor.
Insure the tagging procedure for each container is followed and the quantity for partial containers is identified before the end of shift.
Insure that housekeeping at the work station is clean, neat and organized while in operation and at end of shift.
Complete the production report and submit to leader or supervisor at end of shift.
Reports to Area Supervisor.
Operator/ Die Setter calss is preferred.
Prefer forklift-crane experience but not required.
One to two years experience as a progressive die operator in the steel stamping industry.
Good trouble shooting and must be able to set a die from scratch- will be assisting the setter.
